What are you most proud of in the entire wiki? For what its worth, I believe the WIKI is surprisingly cohesive in its thought pattern and organization. I like how the hole site turned out with the amount of people working on it. There was a lot of effort that went into it
What are you most proud of in terms of your contributions to the wiki? I am most proud of the introduction to the WIKI page. The images are relevant to the topic, but the content is what impressed me the most. It shows my understanding of digital media, but it also gives an inside/outside view of the definition of digital media. I like the answer for why digital media is so important because I struggled to understand its significance in the beginning of the semester.
What do you wish you had time to further expand, include, or revise in the wiki? I wish I more time to revise the organization, add more actual “digital media” examples in the introduction, unify and employ the use the annotated bibliographies and hyperlinking (this would add greater navigation and overall understanding as it links topics together), and suggest some of the bookmarked readings for further reading.
When did you get stuck while working on the wiki? How did you overcome your problem? I reached a wall in still trying to describe digital media to someone of no background. The notion is so broad and widespread that a true understanding of digital media is hard to come by in just a paragraph. I overcame the problem by thinking back to what I first though digital media was at the outset of class and how I have come to understand it not. This helped the logical progression and came out in a way that anyone unfamiliar with the topic could comprehend.
What did you learn about yourself as a collaborative writer? What collaborative skills do you want to work on in the future? I think that I learned a great deal not only in myself as a collaborative writer, but also in experiencing some of the dynamics of group work. In a group, there is one goal. If the group can come to a consensus on the means to achieving that goal, all of the minor aspects seem to fall in place, such as the distribution and execution of work.
Discuss at least four of the course outcomes you feel you worked towards with this assignment. Provide evidence of your learning by pointing to specific aspects of the wiki or your project journal.
I believe we all tied to employ the use of the C.R.A.P. principles in our work. At least in the home page of the wiki, I tried to organize the content in a linear fashion with headings and corresponding images. This would allow the reader to understand and possibly visualize each of the topics discussed. The video at the end of the page should help give an additional understanding of the significance of digital writing. I also worked on editing the Issue pages (Ethics, Participatory, Transparency), so that they might be uniform in appearance.
